Leif, if I read correctly, Finkelstein has an opinion that Gaza was sealed off as a punishment for Palestinians electing Hamas. It is not true. The sealing-off of Gaza had pure demographic purpose: genocide, in other words, and was planned in 2003, at a meeting, where the demographer Arnon Sofer offered a solution of creating a Gaza concentration camp and thus force Palestinians to revolt, erupt and try to break out, which in turn would justify Israel's genocidal "operations" on them.
